Mentioned below are some quick facts for SSC CGL Exam Pattern 2019.
- Tier I and Tier II of CGL exam will be conducted in online mode.
- Tier III is a descriptive test to be conducted in pen and paper mode.
- Tier IV is just conducted to test the proficiency in computer knowledge.
- Duration of Tier 1 is 60 minutes, Tier 2 is 2 hours for each paper and for Tier 3 is 60 minutes.
- As for SSC CGL Marking Scheme, for Tier 1, 3 and 4, 0.50 marks are deducted for each wrong answer. For Tier 2, 0.25 marks are deducted for each incorrect answer.
- Paper 1& 2 is compulsory for all the posts.
- SSC CGL Paper 3 is compulsory only for the post of ‘Statistical Investigator Gr. II’ & ‘Compiler’.
- Paper 4 is only for the post of ‘Assistant Audit Officer’.

A brief about Tier 1,2 3 and 4:
Tier-1 will take place in June 2019 in multiple slots via computer mode, with objective type questions. Tier-2 will comprise two papers of 200 marks each for Quantitative aptitude and English. Tier-3 is a descriptive type exam to test the written skills of the candidates in English/Hindi. Tier-4 is conducted exclusively for the post of Assistant Audit Officer.
